Investing in Opportunity

We acquire meaningful positions in companies where we believe the existing management has the local knowledge and business acumen to grow and thrive in their respective market segment.

Investment considerations are made on a case-by-case basis, however, we take both minority and majority positions. Our philosophy of investing in both the business and management dictates that management hold a meaningful stake in the business and invests alongside Crovan.

Crovan contributes both capital and management expertise to its portfolio companies with the objective of directing strategic, operational and financial improvements, typically through initiatives that drive growth, margin improvement and asset efficiency.

Unlike most investment groups, Crovan is not restricted by such issues as investment timing, minimum or maximum size of investment, nor sector focus. As such, we are able to be extremely flexible and opportunistic in our investing activities. Regardless of the particular sector, we always look for the same attributes in potential portfolio companies:

  • Operating business with real assets (hard assets, resources, intellectual property)
  • Real market for the company’s product or service
  • Experienced management
